WHO Prequalification (PQ/VCP) applies to insecticide-treated nets (ITNs) / long-lasting insecticidal nets (LLINs) and requires dossiers covering safety, quality, and efficacy, plus laboratory and field data in line with WHO 2013 guidance. The fabric substrate must comply with the dossier’s physical parameters, including mesh density ≥ ~24 holes/cm² (~156/in²), denier (typical 50/75/100D polyester or 120D HDPE, per design), bursting strength (ISO 13938), snag/tear/abrasion resistance, dimensional stability, and flammability performance. The finished net must maintain bio-efficacy after multiple washes and for ~3 years of use.
