The fabric substrate must comply with the dossier’s physical parameters, including mesh density ≥ ~24 holes/cm² (~156/in²), denier (typical 50/75/100D polyester or 120D HDPE, per design), bursting strength (ISO 13938), snag/tear/abrasion resistance, dimensional stability, and flammability performance. The finished net must maintain bio-efficacy after multiple washes and for ~3 years of use.

Tulle (voan) is a lightweight, breathable warp-knit net with fine holes; the key differences lie in stiffness and mesh density. Bridal applications favor soft, drapey tulle; embroidery/beading requires stable tulle with uniform mesh; event décor needs wide-width nets that hold their shape; mosquito nets use no-see-um tulle, available in multiple fabric widths.
